Capture information before it becomes a conclusion.
Evidence intake is where information enters SKALV: from connected sources, from uploads, and from people. Each item keeps its origin and arrival time so it can be examined later.
What this helps you do
Intake sits before interpretation. An item recorded here is a statement from a source at a point in time, not an assertion about the world. That separation is what allows a later assessment to be re-examined against exactly what supported it, including the items that pointed the other way.
Recording evidence does not make it true. Intake preserves what a source said and when; assessment and verification decide what it supports.
What you can do after sign-in
- Record an observation with source, time and scope
- Attach evidence to an existing signal or open a new one
- Review what arrived from each connected source
- Flag an item as conflicting with another
- Trace any assessment back to the items behind it
