Source health is not source trust.
A connector can be perfectly healthy and deliver information you should not act on. The two properties are measured differently and should be shown separately.
Two different questions
Health asks whether data is arriving as expected — a technical question with a technical answer. Trust asks whether this source is a good basis for this claim, which depends on the source's remit, its distance from what it reports, and its record.
How they get conflated
A green indicator next to a source name reads as endorsement. Once operators learn that green means good, an unauthoritative feed inherits the credibility of a working connection.
Showing both
Keep the technical state where connections are managed, and express reliability where evidence is assessed. When a claim rests on a single source, that fact matters more than whether the connector polled successfully.
